Agriculture - Horse Events - Overnight Camping

Outlaw Trails Ranch is a 230+ acre property situated in picturesque McElmo Canyon just southwest of Cortez, Colorado. This ranch has three year-round running streams, two large production hay fields, a 15 horse barn with 60 x 100 ft. covered riding arena, a separate 120 x 200 ft. jumping arena and a 5 acre cross country derby field. We have added new perimeter fencing for safety and a small bunkhouse with outdoor kitchen and shower. The ranch is near Canyon of the Ancients National Park, Mesa Verde and McPhee Reservoir. We host many different riding events and are adding new agricultural crops each year.

Horse Events

Schedule a day, weekend or week long horse clinic. We work with 4H, Pony Club, Eventing Organizations as well as private trainers and clubs. Outlaw Trails Ranch has stalls, riding arenas, a derby field in progress with cross country jumps and a planned water jump. Lots of space to accommodate your next event.

Agriculture Products

Currently we have multiple cuttings of orchard grass hay for sale each year. We test the quality of our hay and will share that information with you. We are introducing more crops so stay tuned for additional products.
